Apple to Improve Touch while Moving

Apple is always driving forward. Over at Apple Insider I saw they applied for a patent that will help people interact with a touch interface while it is moving. They give all sorts of theoretical examples from tanks, to sitting in an airplane or ridding in a subway. They are looking to compensate for vibration to a screen that is moving. This type of innovation has a direct affect on how I use my iPhone and is also a great technology to liscense to others.

Evidently the device will compensate by moving interface items, making them bigger and changing the touch area and pressure needed. Pretty much all the things you notice when you are trying to interact with a moving device. It is exciting to see these things get addressed and tells me Apple will be on the leading edge of touch devices for the near future. Up coming iPhones and other devices will see dramatic improvement in UI for those of us who like to walk and use the phone or tend to ride, not drive of course, and use our phone.
