Fret not my Google Voice compadres, Apple will not keep us down for long. In a previous post I mention that Google voice is still available for your iPhone, though you must jailbreak it in order to use download and install GV mobile. Once again, Google Voice is about to makes its way to the iPhone. No Apple has not reveresed its earlier decision to ban the app, nor must you jailbreak your phone to utilize the Google Voice App. Instead, Google has decided to stick it to Apple and AT&T by creating web app. It is reportedly going to have all the same features as the original app that was rejected. Google is still in the final stages of testing to ensure it works as designed, so it should not be much longer until it is available. It looks like Google’s CEO stepping down from Apple’s board of directors is looking more and more as a result of their App being shut out and not just a mere ‘conflict of interest’ as Google stated publicly as the reason of the step down. This much is for sure, by releasing this as a web app, this conflict just got a whole lot more interesting.
