The iControlpad is still alive, and I hope someone really pushes for this. With Apples recent push with the touch as a gaming device, I hope they decide to travel down the path of making their own game pad. Apple would have an instant hit on their hands if they decided to produce a docking station control pad, with dual analog sticks. It would pretty much kill Nintendo and Sony. Slap a battery pack into it as well, and I guarantee it would be the hottest selling accessory of all time.

iMac news?
I am not sure how many of you were disappointed they didn’t announce an iMac bump and price drop at the Jazz, err I mean Rock and Roll, Event. I wasn’t surprised but I did really want a small bump and a price drop would have been nice. There were a few rumors floating around to this effect but it went they way of the camera in the touch. We may have some hope again.

New Music Format /cry
I just read something over at the Guardian that made me sick to my stomach. Both Apple and the major record labels, Sony, EMI, Warner, Universal, are working on a new file format for music. Do we get anything out of this proposition?

Long Awaited Features Coming to iTunes
There has been some lingering hullabaloo about new iMacs coming out soon. They are supposed to have two new features people want in them. The popular money seems to be on Blu-Ray, adding to this is an article I read over at the Apple Blog stating iTunes 9 will be out shortly with Blu-Ray support. Personally I don’t care to much about the support. I see it as a great way to back up data, if the price of disks ever drops to $1.
There was another little tidbit in that article though. (more…)

Apple Touch Tablet
I closed the poll. Way to much has been posted lately about the iTablet, Macbook Touch or whatever you want to call it. I have read a bunch of them and things have started to coalesce I think. What better source could I reference for a September release than the Financial Times. I must admit I don’t know if I believe September or not but I would certainly love to see it.
What really pushed me over the edge to write a post was a great article over at Mac OS Rumors. This article really pulls it together and seems to speak with some authority that for some reason I believe this time. I will hit the highlights quick and you can read the article for yourself after that if you like.
